Medus

Sound material:
Field recordings and digital processing

MEDUS is a exploration research around movement qualities on sensitivity, depth and heaviness.
A sensitive body in constant motion. Letting go of the desires to produce and to enjoy the present moment, with all the sensations that allow the body to shift from different images. The beauty that co-exists with the heaviness that lingers around the topic of being a sensitive human. The oppression of the shadow of toxic masculinity that tries to turn our sensitivity into stone. The questionable ''fight'' between masculine and feminine traits that drives us into judging each other with the gaze of Medusa.

There is something about sensing the space, becoming one with the space and finding your own space in that space.
Coming out of the background and becoming visible and vulnerable.

While we stop-pause and check the environment or the situation we are in, we might have already started the process of becoming static statues
Its all in a combination from our needs to survive and the oppression from our society from being a sensitive human.
While we feel the gaze of medusa on us, we easily start to use those eyes on ourselves.
Sensitivity is something we care a lot about but when we let go of the obsession of it,
We turn off the power from the gaze of Medusa that silences us.
